The Victory Monument of Sông Lô stands proudly on Đồn Mountain in Chí Đám Commune, Đoan Hùng District. At the foot of the mountain, the confluence of the two rivers, Sông Lô and Sông Chảy, forms a picturesque landscape with abundant land. From the monument area, one can overlook the lush green river, surrounded by houses and villages. Constructed in 1987, the Victory Monument covers a planned area of 2,537 m2 and consists of two main parts: the statue and the platform.

On either side of the monument are symbolic representations of a boat and towering waves, depicting a historical scene: a victorious boat carrying the combined strength of the Vietnamese people, navigating the waves of history. The 26-meter-high monument, adjacent to a 7-meter-tall statue group, is constructed from reinforced concrete, steel frames, and exterior faux bronze paint. The monument takes the form of a flame, symbolizing the fierce vitality and enduring existence of the Sông Lô victory. The structure features a robust and precisely crafted angular design, clad with closely fitted stone veneers.

Surrounding the commemorative monument on all four sides are eight ceramic bas-reliefs depicting the victory at Sông Lô and capturing characteristic aspects of life in the Đoan Hùng region. Each bas-relief is a finely sculpted work of art, depicting the historical events with intricate detail and skill.

The victory statue group, situated at the base of the monument and facing the Sông Lô River, includes five representative figures symbolizing the components and forces that bravely participated in the Sông Lô battle.

Each statue vividly depicts different postures and expressions. Some depict soldiers standing tall with raised rifles, wearing protective vests and carrying rice bags on their backs, while others show soldiers holding rifles in a ready-to-fight position. In the center, there is an image of a female guerrilla from the ethnic community, with a headscarf, holding a stick, her eyes looking into the distance, ready for battle. Another statue features a soldier standing next to a cannon, raising his hat in a salute, with his bare-chested and robust physique exposed, exuding vitality.

These statues vividly portray the historical figures who contributed to the victory at Sông Lô, capturing the heroic spirit of the time, providing a complete and authentic representation for future generations.

Over the passing years, the generations born and raised in this majestic land carry within them a tremendous sense of pride whenever they recall the resounding victory of their forefathers. In their eyes, the Victory Monument of Sông Lô is not just a structure honoring and praising the Sông Lô victory; it is also evidence of the resilience of their forefathers who sacrificed themselves to protect the homeland.

As a result, each succeeding generation born on this land is deeply educated about the glorious traditions, patriotism, and sacrifices of the previous generations. This, in turn, nurtures a profound sense of responsibility and pride for their homeland and country.

Throughout time, the local government and residents of Chí Đám Commune, particularly those of Đoan Hùng District, have maintained a profound awareness of their responsibility to preserve, conserve, repair, and upgrade the Victory Monument of Sông Lô. This monument is considered on par with the national-level historical and cultural relics (recognized by Decision 2890/VH-QĐ on September 27, 1997, of the Ministry of Culture and Information, now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). It is a place where people from all corners of the country come to admire and pay respect to their roots. This monument is an invaluable historical and cultural relic in educating future generations about the glorious tradition of fighting against foreign invaders in the historical process of nation-building and defense by the military and people of Phú Thọ, and Vietnam as a whole.
