Thanh Thủy Hot Springs – An Ideal Summer Destination

Located in La Phu commune, Thanh Thuy district, Phu Tho province, Thanh Thuy Hot Springs resort is just about an hour’s drive from Hanoi. The hot springs attract a large number of domestic and international tourists for sightseeing and relaxation.

The hot mineral water flow is formed by the geological creation from the natural fractures. The locals discovered and began exploiting this water source long ago.

The Thanh Thuy Hot Springs covers an area of about 1 km2, resembling a gently curved pumpkin lying along the Da River. The water temperature ranges from 37 to 43°C, with a total water capacity of 20,000 m3, and the exploited water flow fluctuates around 500 m3 per day.

With water from a depth of 130 – 160 m, it contains many beneficial minerals such as magnesium, calcium, sodium, promoting beauty, treating skin diseases, and benefiting the cardiovascular system. Especially in summer, the water is processed through a cooling tower, reducing the temperature to about 27°C, providing a comfortable feeling without the scorching heat during bathing. Tourists can immerse themselves in the mineral water to relieve stress, improve blood circulation, or enjoy swimming in the outdoor pool. Additionally, visitors can experience a combination of steam baths, mud baths, and bubble baths, making the visit enjoyable.

Moreover, the Thanh Thuy Hot Springs resort offers a range of facilities including a tennis court, entertainment area, cultural exchange room, karaoke room, and more to meet various needs.

Particularly, the resort has a system of stilt houses built near the lake, serving local specialties of Phu Tho such as Da River carp, Da River catfish, wild boar, fried Da River fish, hillside chicken, mountain goat, etc.
