The Memorial Site of President Ho Chi Minh in Yen Kien commune, Doan Hung district, is recognized as a provincial-level historical and cultural site. The site commemorates a significant historical event that took place in 1947, during the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh in the resistance war against the French colonialists.

 

President Ho Chi Minh made a stop and worked at the residence of Mr. Nguyen Huu Da in Yen Kien commune, Doan Hung district, Phu Tho province, from March 30, 1947, to April 1, 1947. During these three days, while working in Yen Kien commune, the local people of Doan Hung district ensured absolute safety for President Ho Chi Minh and his Central Committee comrades. It was an honor and pride for the Party and the people of Doan Hung district.

 

To preserve and promote the historical value of the Memorial Site of President Ho Chi Minh in Yen Kien commune, Doan Hung district, and actively contribute to revolutionary tradition education for future generations, Doan Hung district has implemented a project: Preservation and Restoration of the Memorial Site of President Ho Chi Minh in Yen Kien commune, Doan Hung district, Phu Tho province. The project includes restoring the original structure of Mr. Nguyen Huu Da’s old house during the time President Ho Chi Minh stayed and worked in 1947, constructing a memorial house for President Ho Chi Minh, showcasing historical artifacts related to President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary career, especially images and artifacts related to President Ho Chi Minh’s connection with Phu Tho province and Doan Hung district, a site management office, a garden, a fish pond, and a parking area.

 

This project holds profound historical and spiritual significance, serving as an educational site for revolutionary traditions for future generations and expressing deep gratitude from the Party and the people of Doan Hung district to President Ho Chi Minh.
