Xuan Son National Park – A Tranquil Retreat in Phu Tho Province

Xuan Son National Park is situated in Xuan Dai commune, Tan Son district, Phu Tho province. Located 120km west of the capital city, Hanoi, and 65km west of Viet Tri City, Xuan Son National Park is an ideal destination for relaxation and exploration, offering the serene and untouched beauty of the ancestral land.

Upon arrival, visitors are immersed in the wild expanse, surrounded by lush greenery of various intertwining trees layer by layer, creating a visually stunning landscape. The faint presence of stilt houses and the scent of rice paddies, along with the sound of flowing streams, create an atmosphere that makes you forget life’s worries.

Xuan Son National Park is the only national park with pristine forests on limestone mountains, boasting an extremely diverse ecosystem with 32 types of plant formations recorded in the Vietnam and world Red Books. Among them, many rare and valuable species such as Lath, honey fern, rattan, arbor, dòm bulb, and wild vegetables contribute to conservation and have high economic value.

The park is also home to 46 rare animal species listed in the Vietnam Red Book and 18 species in the world Red Book.

The ideal time to visit Xuan Son National Park is during the following periods:

1. Rainy season (May to October): The landscape is beautiful and poetic, featuring stunning waterfalls. However, travel may be a bit challenging. Visitors can immerse themselves in the fresh, cool air of the national park, forgetting about the hot summer weather in the North.
2. Dry season (November to April): Convenient for travel, but the scenery may not be as beautiful as during the rainy season.

In November and December, Xuan Son National Park is adorned with blooming red silk cotton flowers, creating a breathtaking spectacle across the villages.
